Chicken and Bacon Layer Cake Recipe

Birthday cake recipe for a dog. The ingredients in this recipe are intended for canine consumption, however, you should consult your dog's vet to make sure that each food item is safe for your pet to eat.

Ingredients

• 3 cups cake flour 
• 1 1/2  tablespoons baking powder
• 1/2 cup softened margarine
• 6 large lightly beaten eggs
• 1/2 cup corn or olive oil
• 2 jars strained chicken-flavored baby food
• 2 cups shredded baby carrots
• 1 container plain yogurt
• 2 to 3 strips crispy bacon

Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. 
2. Grease and flour two round cake pans.
3. Blend flour and baking powder in medium mixing bowl.
4. In another bowl, whisk margarine until smooth. 
5. Slowly add oil and eggs to margarine. 
6. Once ingredients combine, beat vigorously to mix.
7. Next, add in the chicken and carrots, stirring well.
8. Now combine flour mixture with other ingredients, and continue to whisk vigorously. 
9. When the batter is ready, pour into prepared baking pans. 
10. Bake for about 50 minutes.
11. Once done, place one layer of cake on a serving plate and cover with yogurt.
12. Top the cake with second layer, and cover top and sides with remaining yogurt.
13. Sprinkle bits of bacon all over the cake.
